Today was the rest day for real. We took our alarms off and have slept for a while, first time on our trip 🤦‍♂️. Then we improvised and visited one of Nordtinden Couloirs. A bit less then 700m, but still tons of fun #backcountry #backcountryskiing...

Summary: Email Marketing for SaaS startups

  1. Send emails about new features every week.
  2. Every blog post must be announced with an email.
  3. Collect e-mails with an “exit intent monitor.”
  4. Send e-mails to a whole userbase until you have a streak of 2-3 e-mails per week. Then start to segment the audience. Not before.
  5. The main error with e-mail marketing is not to send as many e-mails you can.
  6. If you would like to AB test something, you want to have at least 100 conversions. If you have less, increase the audience before AB testing something.
  7. 1 AB test per one e-mail.
  8. Dehumanize an e-mail = disengage the audience. So, humanize your email marketing.
  9. Communicate back to your audience, ask to ask you questions and answer to them.
  10. Email updates mean that your startup is alive, so send it every time you do something.
