### i'm igor debatur
I explore and learn.
This space is where I process and share my findings.
I thrive on uniting people around ideas and then helping them succeed. Then, making unknowns knowns: researching and structuring data coming from various human and non-human sources to enable teams and myself to make conscious decisions.
Currently I'm the GM @ [Uploadcare](https://uploadcare.com) a company that I co-founded in 2012. In 2024 it was acquired by [Tiugo Technologies](https://www.tiugotech.com/). Before that, I co-founded [RIDERS app](https://web.archive.org/web/20230313140323/https://riders.co/), an app that helped 1 million users improve in 15 action sports disciplines. Though it’s now sunsetted, its impact was meaningful and it still holds a special place in my heart.
I love spending time outdoors, which has lead me to become an avid backcountry skier, rock climber and mountain biker.
As a father of two, I still manage to carve out time for books and video games—mostly hardcore souls-likes and tactical RPGs. My all-time favourite authors are Umberto Eco, Hermann Hesse and Thomas Mann.
